Lisle is a town located in Broome County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population of Lisle was 2,273. The town was founded in 1801 and was named after the English town of Lisle in Yorkshire. Lisle is located in the southern part of Broome County and is bordered by the towns of Triangle to the north, Whitney Point to the east, Killawog to the south, and Maine to the west. The town has a total area of 25.6 square miles, of which 25.5 square miles is land and 0.1 square miles is water. Lisle is primarily an agricultural area with many small farms, although there is also some light industry and commercial development in the town. The Lisle Community Center is the town's main gathering spot and hosts a variety of events and activities throughout the year.
